WILLIAMSTON, SC – Carolina Auto Auction celebrated another award-winning year serving buyers and sellers with its 19th Anniversary Sale and Celebration. The day saw a flurry of activity on the auction block and throughout the facility. Hundreds of dealers joined Carolina Auction’s owners, management, and staff for the celebration on April 15, when more than 1,700 vehicles crossed the block, and $50,000 in cash and prizes were awarded at the end of the day.

Dealers vied for one of the auction’s largest consignments of the year, featuring vehicles from ARI, BB&T, CitiFinancial, Donlen, Flexco Fleet Services, NMAC, Volkswagen Credit/Audi Financial, Wheels, Inc., and World Omni/Center One. Bidding was brisk both in the lane and online, according to a company spokesperson, and by sale’s end, the auctioneers had dropped the hammer on 1,064 vehicles, for a 60-percent sale.

At the conclusion of the sale, customers gathered for prize giveaways, which included a John Deere Mower, push mower, outdoor enclosure, patio furniture, assorted power tools, an outdoor grill, and an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Kentucky Derby. To cap the festivities, the auction awarded $25,000 in cash to Glen Simmons of Hartwell, Ga.

Carolina Auto Auction had much to celebrate in marking its 19th anniversary year, including a number of top performance awards from national vehicle consignors. The auction was named the regional leader in 2008 for Wheels, Inc. and according to the auction, surpassed all other auction facilities in the nation for BB&T, RSA, and Triad Financial. The auction enjoys the unprecedented distinction of having placed #1 with both RSA and BB&T for four years in a row. Carolina Auto Auction is also a consistent performer for Wheels, having led its region for Wheels in 2007 as well.

"Our anniversary sale was a great opportunity to celebrate 19 years of working with the best customers in the country," said auction owner Henry Stanley. "We attribute our success in the marketplace to active and loyal buyers and sellers, and are more determined than ever to acknowledge their support with superior customer service. We're fond of saying that Carolina Auto Auction is 'the Right Choice' — the right choice for buying cars and the right choice for selling cars, and we work hard to prove that week in and week out!"
