Carolina Auto Auction Celebrates Christmas in July
WILLIAMSTON, S.C. – On July 12, Carolina Auto Auction held a Christmas in July sale with more than 800 dealers in attendance. In spite of a blistering hot South Carolina Day, Carolina Auto Auction registered more than 1,800 vehicles and sold 60 percent of them.

WILLIAMSTON, S.C. – On July 12, Carolina Auto Auction held a Christmas in July sale with more than 800 dealers in attendance. In spite of a blistering hot South Carolina Day, Carolina Auto Auction registered more than 1,800 vehicles and sold 60 percent of them. Featured consignors included Remarketing Services of America, Inc., Triad Financial, Wheels Inc., ARI, BB&T, GE Remarketing, and PHH.
This year’s event was called “Country Christmas in July,” and in keeping with the gift-giving theme, the auction awarded a number of prizes to the dealers in attendance. Glen Smith of Smith Motors won a trip to Dollywood. Mike Cooley of Mitchell’s Used Cars took home a Carolina Auto Auction deluxe Poker Set. John Wayne DVD sets were awarded to James Hensley of Car’s Etc. and Bill Hicks of Bill Hicks Motors. Harlan McGinnis of STS Auto Sales was the lucky winner of the Ultimate Stainless Steel Grill. Mike McCullough was awarded a rustic White Mountain hand crank ice cream freezer. Gary William of U.S. Auto Sales took home both a John Wayne commemorative clock and a White Mountain hand crank ice cream freezer. The winner of the RSA Texas 2-Card Hold ‘Em trip to Las Vegas was Jason Verner of Southeastern Motors.
Topping the prize list was a $30,000 in cash, which was won by Mac Snyder of M. Snyder’s, Inc., who donated the total of his winings to the World Evangelism Center of North Greenville University in Tigerville, S.C.
