CENTREVILLE, VA – Carfax has launched a new online auction tool to help dealers better evaluate auction units prior to purchase — CARFAX Auction Quick Check.
Available first through SmartAuction, Carfax-subscribing dealers get vehicle history details, such as ownership history, branded title information, and damage records reported to Carfax. Using this information, dealers can shop smarter and bid with greater confidence in the online auction environment.
CARFAX Auction Quick Check highlights those cars that would command a premium price on the retail market, such as Carfax 1-Owner cars, allowing dealers to bid competitively on these much-sought-after units. Carfax and SmartAuction have integrated services to provide a seamless solution for their mutual customers.
“A CARFAX Vehicle History Report is an important part of how we do business. We can run a CARFAX Report on all our cars and we’ll show it to any customer that asks,” said Danny Papakalos, corporate used vehicle director for AutoNation. “Having access to the CARFAX Auction Quick Check is going to allow my team to better evaluate cars. We’ll even be able to pay more for cars we know our customers are going to want.”
