CENTREVILLE, VA – Carfax has expanded its relationship with Subaru of America, Inc. Carfax Vehicle History Reports have been a key component in the Subaru Certified Pre-Owned Program (CPO) for the past two years, and now the companies will work closer together to make Subaru CPO vehicles more easily visible and searchable for potential customers.
Carfax Vehicle History Reports are a requirement for every vehicle submitted for certification, and all Subaru Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles are backed by the Carfax Buyback Guarantee. Used-car shoppers get free Carfax Vehicle History Reports for any Subaru CPO vehicle from certified Subaru dealers, as well as online marketplaces like www.autotrader.com and www.autotrader.com.
A Subaru Certified Pre-Owned logo clearly identifies these cars in Carfax Vehicle History Reports. Used-car shoppers also can access the Subaru CPO Web site directly from the reports.
Subaru recently announced several other major enhancements to its CPO program, including increased warranty coverage, simple upgrade choices, and improved financing options.
The Subaru Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Program includes five-year old or newer vehicles with less then 80,000 miles on the odometer. These vehicles must pass a Carfax vehicle history report along with a 152-point inspection. Upon completion of the inspection and subsequent reconditioning, these cars receive a Subaru-backed service agreement. All qualified Certified Pre Owned vehicles receive a standard six-year/100,000 mile Added Security Powertrain plan, with a $0 deductible, that offers major component breakdown coverage and roadside assistance. Subaru dealers pay a standard fee for certification and upgraded plans are available to the customer.
