FAIRFAX, VA – Carfax.com celebrated its 20th anniversary last week. Nearly 30,000 dealers and tens of millions of in-market consumers now rely on the information contained in the Carfax database to help uncover hidden problems and make better decisions about the vehicles they buy and sell.
A recent study shows that 57 percent of in-market consumers will not purchase a used car without a vehicle history report. Through partnerships with many dealer groups, manufacturer Certified Pre-Owned programs, and online marketplaces including AutoTrader.com and cars.com, free Carfax Vehicle History Reports are available almost anywhere people shop for used cars.
Carfax recently unveiled a new Vehicle History Report that is shorter and easier to understand, making it a more effective resource for buyers and sellers.
To mark the anniversary, Carfax is offering a special rate on Carfax Vehicle History Reports now through Memorial Day weekend. Normally $20, consumers can check their vehicle's history in the Carfax database for $1.50 per report.
