SAN JOSE, CA – California Autobody Association announced its Santa Clara Chapter meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn San Jose, 1740 N First St, April 15 a 6:00 p.m. Guest speaker Steven Schillinger, a Registered Environmental Assessor will present the new statewide CAA member benefit “CGI” Certified Green Investment registry program.
CGI is a third party registry to validate the implementation of Greenhouse Gas monitoring provisions. In cooperation with CAA and various federal, state and local programs, a sanctioned certificate demonstrates that a shop has achieved official Green recognition.
The CGI complies with the accredited “independent auditor” requirements under Section 179 D of the Internal Revenue Code and the U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005 Performance Rating Method (PRM) from Appendix G of ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-2004 in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) audit guide for Green certification and monitoring.
