FLINT, MI – Flint Auto Auction marked 56 years in business June 24, with a gala anniversary sale that featured more than 1,800 vehicles, prize drawings, and free ice cream to everyone in attendance. Auction owners Bill Williams and John Luce welcomed more than 1,000 dealerships to the sale, which included 150 vehicles from GMAC, 250 units from AVIS/Budget Group, 600 vehicles from Chrysler Financial, and 800 cars and trucks from dealers throughout the Midwest.

Preparations for the Anniversary Sale began in early June, when the auction began donating $1 for every car sold into a jackpot, and dealers’ names were added to the drawing each time they bought or sold at one of the weekly auctions. At the conclusion of the anniversary sale on the 24th, the winning names were drawn, with one buyer and one seller splitting the nearly $4,000 in cash that had accumulated throughout the month. In addition, buyers of Chrysler Financial vehicles that day qualified for the sale-end drawing for $500 cash and a golf vacation at Boyne Mountain.

“We had a great day of buying and selling, and lots of fun at our anniversary sale,” said Williams. “We served over 300 cinnamon rolls in less than an hour, served ice cream to each customer, gave away more than $5,000 in cash and prizes, and sold 900 cars and trucks!”

“Being able to celebrate 56 years in business is a milestone for Flint, but, more importantly, it was our opportunity to thank our customers for their support over the years,” continued Williams. “It is their loyalty that has contributed to our success and longevity, and we planned this event as an opportunity to celebrate together at Flint Auto Auction.”
