LAS VEGAS – Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist Bruce Jenner will speak at the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) Roundtable Welcome Breakfast 8 a.m. Mar. 26 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. A town hall meeting will follow with eight industry leaders discussing the latest trends in remarketing.
The IARA Winter Roundtable, co-located with the CAR2008 Conference (www.carconference.com), will also feature the seminars, discussion sessions, and the annual Circle of Excellence Award Luncheon. Additionally, testing for the organization’s professional certification program, IARA CAR, will be conducted in person Mar. 28, 8-10 a.m. The online certification courses are available at www.iaraonline.com.
Jenner’s “Rule for Life” is exactly the same as it was in 1976 when he became the world’s greatest athlete by winning the gold medal in the Olympic Decathlon. “I love life, and I want to LIVE it! Activity, variety, the next challenge around the bend, and my eight kids keep me excited and inspired. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” he said.
In the years since his athletic achievements made him world-famous, Bruce Jenner has become a highly respected motivational speaker, sports commentator, entrepreneur, commercial spokesperson, television personality, actor, producer, and author. A devoted father and husband, Jenner is also a loyal supporter of nonprofit and charitable organizations such as the Special Olympics.
Jenner’s first book, "Decathlon Challenge: Bruce Jenner’s Story," appeared on the American Library Association’s 1977 Best Books for Young Adults list. In 1980, he authored "Bruce Jenner’s Viewers Guide to the Olympics," a handbook to the games, updated for the 1984 Summer Olympics. In 1984, he completed "The Teenage Guide to Fitness."
Jenner has always had a firm commitment to youth, including the physically and mentally handicapped. Given his own battle with dyslexia, Jenner strives to further the efforts of agencies connected with learning disabilities. In 1985, Jenner was one of several prominent Americans honored by the Washington D.C. based Lab School for Learning Disabilities.
