FREDERICK, MD – Berta Phelps, Consultant for Manheim Auto Auctions and NAAA Legislative Committee chair was honored by the National Odometer and Title Fraud Enforcement Association (NOTFEA) during their annual conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 26.
The award was presented to Berta by Bill Kadlowec, Chief Investigator, South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs, and NOTFEA Director.
The Lance D. Thomas Achievement Award has been presented at the National Odometer and Title Fraud Enforcement Association (NOTFEA) annual training Conference since 1995. The Award is to recognize members for noteworthy achievements in odometer and vehicle fraud cases.
Phelps is the first award recipient who has never worked in law enforcement.
