NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Automotive Solution’s recent adjustments to their used car inspection system make it a perfect fit for fleet managers and municipalities to streamline their maintenance inspections and documentation, according to the company.
This PDA-driven system makes it easy to document the history of every fleet vehicle inspection. Key information such as VIN, make/ model, mileage, etc is keyed in, and then the program takes you through a series of inspection questions, which can now be customized. Vehicle inventory items (radios, flares and safety equipment, etc) can be added to the inspection report as well.
The program now also allows photo capture. Up to 10 photos can be added, right through the PDA. This can provide a handy reference for areas of concern and can provide a visible notation of vehicle condition for future reference.
ASI’s service is great for shops that want to go paperless, since everything is logged electronically and the reports are emailed back to you. This can help in filing and record keeping. All of this is part of an extremely affordable monthly service. The time savings alone make it a worthwhile addition to any service center.
