MENLO PARK, CA – ATC-Onlane, Inc., has announced that Audi Financial Services, Automotive Resources International (ARI), Mike Albert Leasing, and Vanguard Car Rental USA, Inc., are all turning to ATC Open (www.atcopen.com) to offer their inventory to a nationwide audience of dealers. The company also announced a new auction extension feature that keeps vehicles on the block for a longer period of time when there is a bid placed within the last five minutes of the auction close.
The company has demonstrated widespread adoption from buyers and sellers alike by crossing the one million hits-a-day mark across ATC-Onlane powered online auctions in early 2007. Some of the success of ATC-Onlane’s uptake in the market is the result of offering features and services that buyers and sellers are used to finding at physical auctions.
For example, the new auction extension feature on ATC Open was designed to provide buyers with experiences similar to those in the physical lanes. Now, a buyer can place a bid within the last five minutes of the auction’s originally scheduled end time. The vehicle will then remain on the block for another 60 minutes, as long as there is active bidding every five minutes, before the auction will officially close.
