AmeriCredit Recognizes Two Manheim Auto Auctions as Best in Region

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – AmeriCredit Corp. has recognized Manheim's Mid-America Auto Auction in Louisville, Ky., and Tennessee Auto Auction in Nashville, Tenn., as third-quarter winners of the Auction of Excellence award for the Midwest and Southeast regions, respectively.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – AmeriCredit Corp. has recognized Manheim's Mid-America Auto Auction in Louisville, Ky., and Tennessee Auto Auction in Nashville, Tenn., as third-quarter winners of the Auction of Excellence award for the Midwest and Southeast regions, respectively.

The Auction of Excellence program is based on customer service as well as highest recovery rate. AmeriCredit representatives assess each auction's performance in a variety of categories, including organization of sale, quality of vehicle reconditioning, dealer turnout and average recovery rate for AmeriCredit vehicles. In addition, they evaluate pre-sale services such as vehicle transportation and condition reports.

This is Mid-America Auto Auction's first Auction of Excellence honor. Tennessee Auto Auction earned the award last quarter. In addition to ranking No. 1 in the Southeast region, Tennessee Auto Auction's final score for the second quarter was the highest in the nation.

Both Manheim auctions will compete with other quarterly award recipients in their respective regions for AmeriCredit's 2004 regional Auction of Excellence award. This award will be presented at the end of the year to each region's top-performing auction.
