ADESA Announces Senior Management Team Appointments
CARMEL, IN—ADESA announced that it has made several appointments to its used vehicle operations senior management team.
CARMEL, IN—ADESA announced that it has made several appointments to its used vehicle operations senior management team. The changes, which come on the heels of the acquisition of ADESA by a group of private equity firms last month, includes consolidating the company’s three U.S. operational regions into two, as well as the creation of several new positions within the new regional structure.
Effective immediately, the company’s U.S. operations will be divided into two geographic regions. Tom Caruso will head up the Eastern Region as Executive Vice President of Operations, while Ken Osborn will serve as Executive Vice President of Operations for the Western Region, including ADESA Mexico. Both executives will report directly to ADESA President and CEO Jim Hallett and will oversee all day-to-day operations at the company’s U.S. auctions, including sales, finance and talent development. ADESA’s Canadian operations will remain unchanged under the leadership of Benjamin Skuy, Managing Director and COO of ADESA Canada.
Key appointments in the new regions include:
Eastern Region
Jane Morgan, Regional Vice President—Morgan is an auction veteran with a finance background and nearly two decades of auction experience in a number of roles. Most recently, she served as regional manager for ADESA’s East Region. Morgan is also active in NAAA, currently serving on the Board of Directors and as Co-Chair of the National Dealer Affairs/Institutional Sellers Committee, as well as a member of the Legislative Committee. She is also past-president of the Southern Auto Auction Association.

Mike Caggiano, Regional Vice President—Caggiano’s entry into the remarketing industry came in 1985 with a Massachusetts-based leasing company, eventually serving as their General Sales Manager. He joined ADESA Boston in 1996 as sales manager in charge of the auction’s dealer consignment sale. In 2000, Caggiano opened ADESA Concord, a greenfield site in Acton, Mass., and served as the auction’s general manager.
Doug Shore, Regional Business Manager—Shore has held a number of increasingly responsible finance and operations positions since joining ADESA. He played a key role at ADESA Indianapolis in the late 1990’s and served as general manager of ADESA Toronto in 2000. Shore has served in a number of auction and corporate leadership roles since joining ADESA in 1997. His most recent assignment was as regional manager for ADESA’s Midwest Region. Shore has a B.S. degree in accounting from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Wayne Poling, Regional Recon Manager— Poling’s career start was as a field tech for DuPont Automotives Finishes in 1989. From 1997 to 2000 he served as an Auction Process Specialist, working with auction body shop managers and technicians. Poling joined ADESA in 2000 as the National Body Shop Manager, eventually becoming Recon Manager in ADESA’s East Region.

Western Region
Pat Stevens, Regional Vice President—Stevens brings more than 14 years of remarketing experience to his new role. He has worked in a number of roles for both ADT and ADESA, most recently as general manager of ADESA Dallas. He is the current President-Elect of NAAA’s Western Zone.
STEVENS
Tim DeBerry, Regional Vice President—DeBerry has more than 20 years of experience with both ADT and Manheim Auctions. Most recently, he served as general manager at Manheim’s Colorado Auto Auction. DeBerry was named the 1999 Auction Man of the Year by the Florida Independent Auto Dealers Association, which also named him the state’s Most Valuable Player in the Auction Industry in 2003.
DEBERRY
Sanjiv Agrawal, Regional Business Manager—Agrawal began his career at Wells Fargo Bank and went on to become controller at various other companies. He has more than 20 years of accounting and business experience. Prior to joining ADESA Los Angeles in 2003, he was the controller for the U.S. Western Distribution region for a worldwide distributor of automotive supplies, fasteners and chemicals and later became the controller for their entire U.S. operations. Agrawal has a bachelors degree in accounting and a masters in finance.

Gary Granger, Regional Recon Manager—Granger has more than 30 years of reconditioning and operations experience in the remarketing industry. His career with ADESA began as the National detail manager in 1998, responsible for all of the company’s North American auctions. In 2000, Granger was promoted to regional recon manager for ADESA’s West Region. He is an active member of the National Car Wash Association and the National Autobody Association.
