CHARLESTON, SC - Recent additions of brick and mortar facilities as well as expanded mobile auction locations has prompted two key management changes at American Auto Auction Group, Inc. (AAAG).

Keith Lelux, AAAG founding member, Director and COO, reports that Ryan Rickey has assumed new duties with the company as Vice President of Business Development, Sales & Marketing for National Auction Partners (a division of AAAG), while DeWayne Musick has been named General  Manager of Your Auction of Fort Myers, Florida.  Both appointments were made effective March 19, 2012.

Lelux explains that National Auction Partners has been formed to oversee the development of the Your Mobile auctions operating under the AAAG umbrella. Your Mobile auctions is the nation’s leading provider of onsite auctions at franchise dealer locations. AAAG currently operates nine Your Mobile mobile auctions in the Florida market.

Rickey has many years of experience in both operations and sales at Your Auction brick and mortar and mobile salesIn 2001, he joined the Your Auction team in operations, and soon managed a fleet of mobile sales for the company.  He was named Director of Operations for Florida’s West Coast in 2003 and two years later was appointed Assistant General Manager at Your Auction of Fort Myers.  In 2008, he was promoted to General Manager of both Your Auction of Fort Myers, and the mobile sales division.

DeWayne Musick has been a fixture in the auction industry since 1983 when he and his father, Lin Musick (past president of the NAAA) purchased the Pensacola Auto Auction. Musick managed the 2-lane night sale while the pair built an all-new facility, launched in 1984 as a day sale.  In 1995, the auction was sold to the Greater Auction Group, and subsequently to Manheim, at which point Musick accepted a general manager’s position with Manheim at its facility in St. Petersburg, FL. In 2000 Musick returned to Pensacola, where he built Gulf States Auto Auction which opened with three lanes in 2001 and quickly expanded to a five lane facility. After selling that facility in 2010, he founded Coastal Dealer Services, LLC, an independent finance source serving over 125 indendent dealers in the Gulf States Area.

“Both Ryan Rickey and DeWayne Musick have strong backgrounds in both auction operations and customer service, which has prepared them for their new responsibilities with AAAG,” said Lelux. “We’re pleased that they are part of our management team and know that their skills and experience will be crucial elements in helping our business move forward.”

AAAG is headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, and now includes fourteen auto auction operations: Charleston Auto Auction in Moncks Corner, SC; Mid-South Auction in Jackson, MS; Texas Lone Star Auto Auction in Carrollton, TX; Your Auction of Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg, FL; Your Auction of Ft. Myers in Ft. Myers, FL; Your Auction of Pasco in Holiday, FL; Your Mobile Auctions in seven locations in Florida and one in Houston TX.
