Poteet made the announcement as the auction prepares to celebrate its 10-year anniversary on May 22.

“Our success is dependent on good employees like Don, Bridget, and Matt. I couldn’t do it without them and all of the other great people working here, and I am grateful for their contributions.”

Louisiana’s 1st Choice Auto Auction opened in May of 2002.  In August of that year, the auction began a business relationship with Capital One Auto Finance and Consumer Portfolio Services that has grown steadily over the past decade, as the auction has continued to add other remarketers and dealer consignors to its growing family of customers.  The auction was recently named the top provider in its region for ARI, as part of ARI’s Partner’s in Excellence Awards for 2011.

Selling on five auction lanes every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., Louisiana’s 1st Choice Auto Auction uses several state-of-the-art industry solutions to serve its customers, including Auto IMS inventory management system, Auction Access dealer database program, and Auction Pipeline.
