Manheim Adds Eight New Certified Heavy-Duty Truck Locations
ATLANTA – Manheim recently added eight new certified heavy-duty truck operating locations.
ATLANTA – Manheim recently added eight new certified heavy-duty truck operating locations.
In early 2006, Manheim announced a renewed commitment in the heavy-duty truck industry with a new logo and new focus on its certification program. Over the past few months, further steps have been taken with the certification of eight locations, bringing the company’s total truck sales to 10.
“Our goal is to leverage the success of our existing truck auctions along with the newly certified locations’ monthly sales to broaden our national presence,” said Karen Braddy, Manheim’s director of Heavy Trucks, Highline, and Specialty. “We have a great mix of auctions that are dealer-only and others that market to the public at large. This allows us to reach someone who manages a heavy-duty truck fleet for a national account as well as the independent truck driver who wants to sell his or her current truck and buy another,” Braddy continued.
New additions include:
Bishop Brothers Auto Auction in Atlanta.
Keystone Auto Auction in Grantville, Pa.
Metro Milwaukee Auto Auction in Caledonia, Wis.
Minneapolis Auto Auction in Maple Grove, Minn.
Newburgh Auto Auction in Newburgh, N.Y.
Ohio Auto Auction in Grove City, Ohio.
Orange County Auto Auction in Orlando, Fla.
Tucson Auto Auction in Tucson, Ariz.
Prior to the eight additions, Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Vehicle Auction and Ft. Worth (Texas) Vehicle Auction were Manheim’s flagship certified truck auctions. Ft. Worth, a five-plus-year veteran in truck auctions, holds truck sales the third Friday of every month. Ft. Wayne holds sales every other Wednesday at 10 a.m. and is one the industry’s oldest truck auctions, recently celebrating its 22nd anniversary.
Following are the heavy-duty truck sale schedules at the new locations as well as auction personnel overseeing the truck operations:
Bishop Brothers Auto Auction appointed Kristie Knaggs, the auction’s fleet lease manager, to oversee the heavy-duty trucks department. Truck sales are once a month on alternating Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m.
Keystone Auto Auction has truck sales the third Monday of every month, subject to change in the future. Todd Strawn will lead heavy-duty truck operations.
Metro Milwaukee Auto Auction has appointed Mark Greenisen to oversee the heavy-duty trucks department and holds truck sales the fourth Wednesday of every month.
Minneapolis Auto Auction holds truck sales the second Wednesday of every month. Tony Manwarren, fleet lease manager, will lead the heavy-duty trucks department.
Newburgh Auto Auction truck sales are on the first Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m. Chuck McQuiston will oversee the trucks operations.
Ohio Auto Auction runs truck sales the last Tuesday of every month during its utility sale. Ralph Swart will lead Ohio’s heavy-duty trucks branch.
Orange County Auto Auction’s fleet lease manager, Nick Queitsch, will manage the heavy-duty trucks department. One of six lanes is devoted to trucks during its monthly sale on alternating Wednesdays at 1 p.m.
Tucson Auto Auction hosts truck sales the third Friday of every month at 9 a.m. The sales are part of the monthly standalone RV sale. Mark Pugliese, general sales manager, will run the heavy-duty trucks department at Tucson.
