Direct Auction Services announced three new executive appointments.

David Rush has been promoted to president of Roadrunner Services; Jeff York has been instated into a newly created position of president for Direct Reconditioning; and Renee Sherk has been named VP of sales and staffing services for the Direct Auction Services team.

The three appointments, the company stated, support the company's strategic priorities and commitment to propel the business forward. Roadrunner Services and Direct Reconditioning are Direct Auction Services' two major brands, and the new leadership is meant to further promote the services.

The president role is a newly created position for Roadrunner Services. In his new position, Rush will focus on the increasing need for more options for local pickup and delivery services to address the volume of vehicles being sold upstream.

The company plans to promote and hire additional managers within Roadrunner Services.

Rush was the founder of Roadrunner Services and most recently served as its COO.

In his new position as president of Direct Reconditioning, York will focus on operations, customer experience, safety, standardization, and training.

York has spent more than 40 years in the automotive business; he started in the business in the early 1980s, when he owned a national reconditioning franchise.

In her new position as VP of sales and staffing for Direct Auction Services, Sherk will focus on developing new business opportunities across all brands and on recruitment.

She has been in the automotive industry for 10 years, and during that time she has worked at multiple Manheim and ADESA auctions. She has also served as an advisor to senior executives in automotive dealerships and auction groups nationwide on issues such as marketing, talent acquisition, employee and management development, and employment law.
