Eblock, a fast-growing online auction in Canada, will begin operating in the U.S. from a head office in Burlington, Vt., the company announced.

The company has seen rapid growth in the Canadian market, driven in large part, by its value proposition that centers around simulating the real auction environment with live lanes, set auction times, and run lists that are available pre-auction.

EBlock will begin in the northeast with plans to grow by servicing both buyers and consignors in concentrated markets through feet on the street and inside sales and support, the company stated.

Jason McClenahan, who previously worked at ADESA and TradeREV, will lead the EBlock team as president and COO.
