In its latest graduating class in September, Auction Academy produced two graduates from the Mid-Kansas Auto Auction, who “walked” Sept. 27 during a celebration at the National Auto Auction Association convention in Chicago.
Trevor Ottley, owner and general manager, and Austin Coyan, chief financial officer, at Mid Kansas Auto Auction, demonstrated their commitment to professional growth and excellence by completing Auction Academy.
Mid Kansas Auto Auction is a family-owned, dealers-only auction with sales every Wednesday available in-person or online. From its facility in central Wichita, Kansas, the growing company serves dealers from all over the Midwest with a team of 100+ employees.
The curriculum, designed for auction personnel on the path to leadership positions, is a multi-year educational certification that equips participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the auction industry.
Auction Academy is a highly regarded program that provides training, networking opportunities, and exposure to industry best practices. Participants engage in a broad curriculum that covers various aspects of the auction business, including management, compliance, operations, marketing, and finance.
"Auction Academy has been fun, educational, and worthwhile, allowing us to see first-hand what many other successful auctions do,” said Ottley in a news release. “We're excited to take what we've learned and use it to benefit our dealers at Mid Kansas Auto Auction in Wichita, keeping us at the top of our industry.”
