Planning for the IARA Summer Roundtable at the J.W. Marriot in Marco Island on Aug. 21-23 is underway, and the full agenda, including the event's keynote speaker, will be available soon.
Submissions for those who would like to be nominated as a speaker or moderate are still being accepted. There are still some sponsorship opportunities for the Marco Island roundtable. This year's Summer Roundtable will also feature a Tabletop Expo, and the IARA encourages any company interested in getting their name exposed to IARA's consignors to participate. Advertising space in this year's program guide is also still available.

Registration for this year's Summer Roundtable will open on May 1, and early registration fees will be available until July 23, 2018.
Looking back at this year's Spring Roundtable, IARA's involvement at the Conference of Automotive Remarketing was a great success, according to Jessica Strack, co-chair of the Conference Management / Education Committee.
Conference Management / Education Committee co-chairs include Strack of Manheim and Brent Garrett, CAR, of CarLotz Inc.
Speakers that headlines sessions held by the IARA included Bob White, EVP and COO of ARI; Rene Abdalah, Sr. VP of RVI Group; Andrea Amico, president of Jack Cooper Logistics; and Faye Francy executive director of Auto-ISAC.
The topics they discussed ranged from disruption in the automotive industry to forecasts of residual values, and also included reconditioning along with cybersecurity.
The goal with this breadth of speakers was to cover various areas that remarketers need to be concerned about.
