The National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) has launched AutoAuctionJobs.com, a new website meant to help job seekers connect with member auto auctions that have jobs to fill.

The website will be a free service that provides information about careers in the industry, links to auction job listings and the ability to complete a general application or submit a resume, the company announced.

The website was initially developed in response to a study commissioned by NAAA on the shortage of technicians in the industry, but the concept was expanded to make the website a useful research tool for hiring any position an auction may have open.

The NAAA has contacted a full-time talent acquisition specialist, Samantha Parks, to answer questions, review applications, screen for qualified candidates, match them to appropriate positions, and refer them to auction employers. Parks will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. central.  

Parks said that showcasing auto auction occupations to vocational students and instructors, as well as assisting interested job hunters explore their employment options is a major focus of her position.
