The International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) is getting a new name and a new look in logos and online as part of a first-ever brand update since its founding in 2001.
The leading trade organization for vehicle consignors will unveil some of the new fixtures at the start of the Conference of Automotive Remarketing on March 26 during a 5:30 p.m. welcome reception at the Hilton Phoenix at the Peak in Arizona.
A Simplified Name and Streamlined Logo
Signifying a renewed energy and focus, the IARA is updating its branding to include a simplified name, a streamlined logo, a refreshed website, and new website URL, said IARA executive director Mark Coleman.
“Our aim with this branding update is to honor IARA’s past, while signaling to the remarketing industry that we are an Alliance on the move,” said Coleman in a March 11 news release. The updated branding will be rolled out throughout the summer, with completion scheduled in time for IARA's Summer Roundtable Aug. 20-22 near Dallas.
Website Refreshed with New Content
IARA’s director of growth and operations, Lauren Baker, is leading the Alliance in overhauling its website with simplified navigation and refreshed content for members, such as timely and topical podcasts, webinars, and useful databases to drive member value.
The Alliance has also rolled out the instant messaging platform, Slack, to its committees to enable rapid communication among committee members as they develop and deliver critical projects.
“For nearly 25 years, IARA has represented the voice of the consignor in the remarketing industry,” IARA President, Doug Turner said. “Our refreshed brand positions us well to continue that tradition for the next 25 years and beyond.”
IARA Serves as Industry Resource
The International Automotive Remarketers Alliance is a nonprofit organization that aims to assist, educate, and share knowledge with its members and industry partners in the field of vehicle remarketing. Founded in 2001, the IARA represents a diverse group of stakeholders, including consignors, auctions, dealers, manufacturers, technology providers, and remarketing services.
The IARA and Bobit Media, which owns and runs CAR, recently formed a long-term agreement for the annual event that deepens the connection between the two organizations and reaffirms their mutual commitment to the remarketing industry.
The IARA started partnering with Bobit on CAR in 2006. Since then, the IARA has hosted committee meetings, workshops, panels, and keynote addresses at CAR that complement the educational agendas developed by Bobit.
In addition to programming conference sessions and speakers, the IARA provides a platform for collaboration, standardization, benchmarking, and advocacy for the remarketing industry. It also offers a certification program for remarketing professionals who want to enhance their skills and knowledge. The IARA hosts regular meetings, roundtables, and conferences to promote networking and learning opportunities for its members.
