CAR 2023 has lined up a panel of auction executives to dissect how the major changes in the remarketing industry since 2020 will steer the course of auctions in the years ahead.
As auctions consolidate and digital options grow, owners and managers must determine the most advantageous business arrangements and practices for a market handling inventory, pricing, and technological pressures. The executives will review the results of recent mergers and acquisitions and how they are reshaping the industry.
Moderated by CAR emcee Charlie Vogelheim, the panel session will be held Thursday, March 30 at 1:30 pm in the conference center at Caesars Palace Las Vegas. Participants so far include:
Patrick Brennan, the senior vice president of marketplace at Manheim, where he leads auction and digital operations.
Chuck Tapp, the new CEO of America's Auto Auction (AAA), succeeding Cam Hitchcock who retired in 2022. Tapp previously served as the executive vice president, chief revenue officer and board member since 2014.
Mike Caggiano, executive vice president at ADESA
The Conference of Automotive Remarketing, held in partnership with the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance and the National Auto Auction Association, will take place March 28-30, and includes a full agenda and exhibit hall spanning consignment, auction operations, industry economics and politics, auto transport, electric vehicles, digital technology, automotive recon, professional training, and more.
