Dealers Auto Auction Group announced June 22 that Jim McAnally has been promoted to chief operating officer (COO) of the company.

McAnally assumed his new responsibilities starting May 1 and will continue to report directly to Chairman and CEO David Andrews.

"Jim’s energy, passion, and resolve will continue to be critical assets as we work to take full advantage of our expanded and growing footprint of auction locations,” Andrews said in a news release. “We want to be sure that our leadership team is in the best position to help team members throughout the company deliver for the customer now and in the future. Jim’s new role is an important step in making that happen."

McAnally has held key positions for companies such as Manheim, Toyota/Lexus and XLerate Group. Having leadership experience in auto auctions as well as dealership and OEM arenas, allows Jim to bring perspectives from multiple vantage points.

"I am honored to have this opportunity to collaborate with a team of highly talented professionals, inside the greatest industry anyone could dream of,” McAnally said in the news release.

DAAG has 11 auction locations in the southeastern region.

Headquartered in Franklin Tennessee, Dealers Auto Auction provides auction remarketing services, reconditioning services, online technology, and its own dealer marketplace.
