CHARLESTON, SC - American Auto Auction announced that Chief Executive Officer, Steve Simon, has resigned his position due to health related issues. Simon will still continue as a member of the Board of Directors. Board Chairman and former GMAC executive, Bill McIver is stepping into the open position of CEO. 

"With his signature creative vision and energetic spirit, Steve Simon has provided inspiring leadership and will be sorely missed. We fully understand and support his decision and the entire AAAG team hopes he will soon return to full, good health. AAAG will continue to build upon the foundation Steve created by continuing to expand our existing operations and by pursuing an aggressive and strategic acquisition process," McIver said.
