ATLANTA – Manheim’s Total Resource Auctions has completed construction on its newest facility, located in Wilmer, Texas, near Dallas. To celebrate the official opening of the eco-friendly facility, the company held a special event sale Aug. 30, at 9:30 a.m.

In addition to gaining access to a large selection of wholesale salvage vehicles, participating dealers were able to take advantage of select grand opening celebration benefits. All attending dealers also enjoyed a complimentary barbecue lunch, received a Total Resource Auctions Dallas T-shirt, and were eligible for additional giveaways. Total Resource Auctions Dallas’ easy-to-browse online vehicle listings, available at www.traauctions.com, are an added customer convenience that’s available anytime.

“Our new Dallas location is a showcase for how to combine the best customer service and support with environmental considerations,” said Jamie Porter, president, Total Resource Auctions. “This location was built with the goal of helping our wholesale salvage customers conduct business efficiently, but also to demonstrate how auction facilities can use resources more efficiently.”

Built on 71 acres and featuring 26,000 total square feet, the new location incorporates 12,000 square feet of office space, two Simulcast sale lanes and a wash bay that can hold up to 30 cars. To decrease the facility’s environmental footprint, recycled concrete was used on half of the 46 acres of developed surface. In addition, the facility will use an advanced geothermal heating and cooling system and reuse 90 percent of the water from its wash bays. With the addition of this facility, Total Resource Auctions now offers two locations to serve the greater Dallas area.

“We’re excited to offer another Total Resource Auctions location in the Dallas region to help meet the needs of the increasing number of buyers and sellers of wholesale salvage units in the area,” said Chad Estes, manager, Total Resource Auctions Dallas. “The new location will provide positives for everyone involved: buyers will benefit from added flexibility and a more diverse selection of units while sellers will enjoy our optimal buyer mix which generates top dollar returns.”

Total Resource Auctions Dallas hosts in-lane and online sales every Monday at 9:30 a.m. The sales feature a diverse selection of insurance total-loss vehicles, cars, trucks, motorcycles and heavy equipment. For more information, go to the Total Resource Auctions website at www.traauctions.com.
