ATLANTA - The recent news release regarding The Wholesale Institute’s 2009 schedule contained an error: The Feb. 25 workshop in Louisville, Ky., will take place at the Manheim Louisville location (not the Manheim Kentucky location). Manheim’s The Wholesale Institute, a free, traveling workshop that teaches franchised and independent dealers how to use online resources to achieve profitability goals, announced its expanded schedule for the first quarter of 2009.

“The Wholesale Institute’s mission is to help dealers increase profitability by teaching them how to buy and sell cars online,” said Amanda Young, director of customer relations for Online Solutions. “We’ve increased our offerings in the first quarter and doubled our sessions during 2009 to meet increased demand by dealers who want to sharpen their online skills.”

    TWI sessions are held at Manheim’s more than 90 North American operating locations and cover a variety of topics and best practices for dealers interested in using online channels. Material covered during the workshop includes tips on making the best use of all Manheim’s online tools, including OVE.com, Manheim.com and Manheim Simulcast.

    TWI shares in-depth buying and selling insights with dealers and teaches them about post-sale inspections, transportation, post-sale follow-up, retailing a virtual unit and arbitration policies.
