FREDERICK, MD – Jay Cadigan was elected vice president of the National Auto Auction Association at its 60th Annual NAAA convention, Equipment & Service Exposition recently held in Washington, D.C.

He will serve on the NAAA executive committee with President Bob McConkey, President-Elect Dave Angelicchio, Chairman of the Board John Rea, Secretary Warren Byrd, Treasurer Mike Broe, President-Emeritus Warren Young, General Counsel Chuck Stepter, and Executive Director Frank Hackett.

“I am very excited and honored to be asked to serve the NAAA,” said Cadigan. “I attended my first NAAA convention in 1976 and firmly believe that the auction environment is the best method of remarketing vehicles. I look forward to addressing the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the coming years.”

Cadigan is Manheim’s regional vice president of operations for the Florida region where he oversees the day-to-day activities of 11 auctions in the state, as well as six locations in the Southwest and Puerto Rico. He served as vice president of operations, General Motors for Manheim from 2004 to 2006. From 1993 to 2004 he held the position of general manager of Skyline Auto Auction in Fairfield, N.J., and Skyline Port Newark Facility in Linden N.J. Prior to that, he served as assistant general manager of Golden Gate Auto Auction in Fremont, Calif., for four years. Cadigan also has 14 years of remarketing experience with leasing companies, including US Fleet Leasing, Avis Car Leasing, and Hertz.
