CHESAPEAKE, VA – American Auto Auction – Chesapeake has retained TPC Management Co. for strategic consulting. The engagement will focus on developing relationships with national account - fleet/lease concerns as well as management recruiting and training. The auction has been in operation for more than 30 years, when the Buchanan family founded it in 1976. It was later purchased by Motors Auction Group (MAG) a division of the Salvage Auction Chain – COPART.

In mid-2006 COPART divested the MAG operations and the auction was purchased by Steve Yancoskie, who has owned and operated another American Auto Auction facility in Wallingford, Conn., for more than seven years.

American’s facility includes six auction lanes on 35 acres in addition to Internet remarketing capabilities through OVE, AutoTrader.com, and Bank-A-Car systems.
