OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – DAA/OKC staff is gearing up for the auction’s Dealer Appreciation Sale, dubbed the First Annual Bedlam BBQ and Chili-Cook-Off and set for Oct. 11-12, 2006.

According to Kenneth Baker, advertising director for DAA/OKC, the event will celebrate two great America pastimes: football watching and chili eating. Ongoing GM Factory (closed) Touchdown Tuesday sales will culminate in a special one-time-only GM Factory (closed) Scrimmage Sale Oct. 11, with more than 600 vehicles and sale-end prize giveaways. The day ends with dinner and an evening at Remington Park Race Track and Casino.

The next day, during DAA/OKC’s day-long tailgate party, customers will bid on more than 3,000 vehicles in the auction lanes, including a special consignment of Classic, Highline, and Import units, combined with motorcycles in one lane. The chili cook-off taste-testing and voting will be held as cooks in the crowd will vie for a $1,000 first-place prize, $500 second-place prize, and a $250 third-place prize. In addition, hamburgers, hot dogs, hot links, snacks, and drinks will be served all day long. Grand prizes at the event will include trips (including hotel and air fare) to the Big XII Championship Game, the NCAA / BCS National Championship Game, and the NFL Pro Bowl Game in Hawaii. Additional prizes will be given out all day long on both days.

Dealers are asked to show support for their favorite college or pro football team. Hats will be given to each dealer and are available in all Big 12 team color schemes.
