Angert was one of three founders of Remarketing Solutions of America (RSA), which was formed in 1991 to remarket off-lease vehicles. The other two co-founders were Andrew Shaevel and Devon Cohen. In 1996, RSA was acquired by Daimler-Benz, parent of Mercedes-Benz. In 2001, Fiserv Inc., a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 financial software and services provider, purchased RSA. The company later integrated more home equity and auto financial services into its offerings after it was acquired by Fiserv Inc. The automotive and mortgage/home equity businesses were later split into business units.
Angert previously served as a vice president in marketing and automotive remarketing at Marine Midland Bank. Prior to his work at the bank, he was president of Angert Auto Parts Inc., a multi-store operation in Western New York.
