COSTA MESA, CA – Mark Brueggemann has been named director of media/industry relations for N.A.D.A. Appraisal Guides. Previously Brueggeman was with Kelley Blue Book.
Brueggemann began his automotive career as a teenager while attending Don Bosco Technical High School in southern California. During his academic tenure, he learned the ins-and-outs of vehicle maintenance and repair and throughout his summer breaks, and spent time working as a machinist for Blair's Speed Shop in Pasadena where he built hot rods and streetcars. During college, he worked for Roger Bursch's Scientific Automotive, where he assisted with a variety of tasks, including tuning, engine building, and Porsche chassis configurations. Brueggemann developed a passion for car racing and soon began building and driving cars for Bursch in Porsche Owner's Club and SCCA road racing events.
In 1981, Brueggemann joined the Crevier BMW team as a salesman and worked his way through the ranks to become a used-car manager in 1988. In 2002, he became a senior market analyst for Kelley Blue Book where he was responsible for overseeing the editorial team in charge of developing the organization's vehicle pricing information.
