Dealer customers that attend a VirtuaLane sale will participate in the same bidding process as in a traditional in-lane auction but instead of physical cars driving through the auction lanes, big-screen monitors will showcase the vehicle and its features during bidding.

ADESA has launched VirtuaLane auctions, a live in-lane auction virtual marketplace for customers at its physical auction locations, the company announced.

Of the 75 auction locations that ADESA operates in North America, VirtualLane  is available at  20 of the locations.

"We wanted to ensure customers are getting the full physical auction experience while substantially reducing the risk of potential accidents associated with cars driving through the auction lanes," said Mike Caggiano, eastern region executive vice president of ADESA.

Dealer customers that attend a VirtuaLane sale will participate in the same bidding process as in a traditional in-lane auction but instead of physical cars driving through the auction lanes, big-screen monitors will showcase the vehicle and its features during bidding.

Customers can also view the vehicle in-person before bidding begins. The vehicles will be parked at the ADESA auction location.

Buyers at VirtuaLane locations will continue to have access to detailed condition reports, photos, valuation tools, and transportation for purchased vehicles.
