NAAA CEO Frank Hackett (left) receives the inaugural Industry Leadership Award from Automotive Fleet Editor Mike Antich.

National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) CEO Frank Hackett was awarded the inaugural Industry Leadership Award by Bobit Business Media, publisher of Automotive Fleet and Vehicle Remarketing Reporter, at the Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR).

The award recognized Hackett, who has led the NAAA since 2004, for his leadership of the Association and his contribution to the industry.

“The Industry Leadership Award was created to recognize an individual who has demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with a wide cross-section of industry participants by leading initiatives for the betterment of the remarketing industry,” said Mike Antich, CAR conference co-chair. “The award will not be an annual award, but one that we be bestowed, as justified, to an individual who has demonstrated exemplary leadership achievements in the remarketing industry.”

Hackett, a former sheriff of Kennebec County, Maine, and competitive powerlifter, has an MBA from the University of Maine. His prior experience also includes stints as president and CEO of Volunteers of America Oklahoma and as executive director or the American Society for Law Enforcement Training.
