CENTREVILLE, VA - American Honda Motor Co. announced that Carfax will continue to be the vehicle history information provider of choice for the Honda Certified Used Cars program. Since 2004, Carfax Vehicle History Reports have been a key component in the Honda certification process. Every Honda vehicle submitted for certification must qualify for the Carfax Buyback Guarantee, in addition to meeting Honda's stringent program guidelines.
"For the last seven years, Carfax Reports have been instrumental to the continued success of the Honda Certified Used Cars program," said Dan Crowe, automobile remarketing manager for American Honda. "The scope and quality of data that Carfax provides for our certification process helps us ensure the integrity of the program as well as the quality of Honda vehicles that become Honda Certified."
Free Carfax Vehicle History Reports are available with every Certified Honda vehicle. Honda also identifies any Certified Honda vehicle on their website that has only one previous owner, helping shoppers easily find premium Carfax 1-Owner cars. Thirty-two manufacturers choose Carfax to build confidence for their Certified Pre-Owned vehicles.
"Carfax Vehicle History Reports are included with all of our online listings," said Sean Stone, used car manager at Bianchi Honda in Erie, Pa. "The trusted vehicle history information Carfax provides adds value to the Honda Certified Pre-Owned program. Receiving a Carfax Report is the integral part of the Honda certification process that our buyers expect when making a purchase decision."
Honda Certified Used Cars sales reached an all-time high in 2011, up 12.4 percent to 228,506 units.
