Manheim announced that Jay Cadigan has been promoted to vice president of operations for General Motors at Manheim. Cadigan, formerly general manager of Skyline Auto Auction in Fairfield, N.J., and Skyline Port Newark Facility in Linden, N.J., will report directly to Nick Peluso, senior vice president of sales.

In his new position, Cadigan will be responsible for all aspects of vehicle remarketing for General Motors and General Motors Acceptance Corp. (GMAC). He will oversee the GM account team and work closely with auction staff at the 27 Manheim facilities that serve this account.

Cadigan joined Manheim in October 2000 when the company purchased ADT Automotive. At the time, Cadigan was general manager of the Skyline facilities, a position he has held since March 1993. He previously served as assistant general manager of Golden Gate Auto Auction in Fremont, Calif., for four years. Cadigan also has 14 years of remarketing experience with leasing companies, including U.S. Fleet Leasing, Avis Car Leasing, and Hertz.
