The Darrell Gwynn Foundation will auction a 2012 Ford F-650 Extreme Super Truck at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auto Auction on April 5-6 at the South Florida Fairgrounds. Proceeds from the sale of the truck will benefit the foundation. The Darrell Gwynn Foundation’s mission is to SUPPORT people with paralysis and PREVENT spinal cord injuries.

“This is one of the coolest vehicles we’ve ever brought to Barrett-Jackson,” said Darrell Gwynn, president of the Darrell Gwynn Foundation. “This year marks our tenth anniversary selling vehicles at Barrett-Jackson to support our Wheelchair Donation Program. It’s very fitting that thanks to Ford and Extreme Super Truck we have such a special vehicle to celebrate 10 years of fundraising with Barrett-Jackson and the incredible impact Barrett-Jackson has made over the years helping us give the gift of mobility to so many in need.” 

The Ford F-650 truck was donated to the foundation by Ford Motor Company. It was then given a complete customization by Extreme Super Truck in Atlanta, creating the ultimate charity truck surely to dazzle potential buyers at the world’s largest auto auction. The truck also includes a Rolltisserie by Southern Pride cooker.

The Ford F-650 Extreme Super Truck has a 2012 Ford F-650 crew cab and chassis. Customizations made by Extreme Super Truck include Michelin X-One rear tires and Alcoa X-One wheels; ProPower Metal Tanks with custom stainless steel fuel and dummy boxes and stainless straps; front four link air ride by Kelderman Air Ride; custom paint, graphics and show finish clear coat by Custom Concepts; CNC and water jet wing brackets and rear speaker covers by Motion Metal Works, rear stainless racing wing and exhaust system parts by Jegs; chrome train horn by Truck Parts Specialist of Augusta; high-end amps and speakers by Memphis Car Audio; Z140BH head unit with reverse camera from Pioneer Car Audio; a custom dually fender by Triad Power Boats; window tint and decal logos by Sun Buster Window Tint and Royal Purple provided engine oil, transmission oil, gear oil and fuel conditioners for this truck. The truck also has a Super Truck custom super duty hood, 60” stainless steel rear race wing, front line lock system, Ford Larriot leather seating, leather captain seats in the rear, full carbon fiber black interior, race red seat belts and interior red LED accent lighting.

Along with the truck, the buyer will also get a Rolltisserie by Southern Pride grill that has a fully automatic, gas-fired, wood burning assist, self-basting rotisserie system with digital thermostat control.

While on stage at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach, the Darrell Gwynn Foundation, on behalf of its donors and supporters, will donate a custom power wheelchair to an individual in need. The donation will be made through the Darrell Gwynn Foundation’s national Wheelchair Donation Program.

On Thursday, April 4 at 8 p.m. the Darrell Gwynn Foundation will present “Wheels of Dreams” at the Ragtops Motorcars Museum benefitting the Darrell Gwynn Foundation.
