CARMEL, IN - ADESA announced that Tom Haeberer has been named vice president of U.S. dealer sales for ADESA.com, effective immediately. He will report directly to Jeff Bescher, senior vice president of CRM and inside sales.

In his new role, Haeberer will oversee the company’s dealer participation and sales efforts across all online platforms. He will also be instrumental in ADESA’s continued integration efforts with recently purchased OPENLANE as the two companies merge to build a single marketplace.

“This position requires a unique skill set of vastly diverse talents,” said Bescher. “Tom’s not only an experienced remarketing executive and sales leader, but he also brings a strong background in Internet technology and strategic implementation to this role. That—combined with his ability to effectively interact with senior executives, commercial accounts, dealer customers and employees—make Tom the ideal candidate.”

While at TFS, he created the corporate e-business department, which was in charge of $300 million in sales, as well as increasing dealer participation substantially. During this time, he was responsible for running the first Toyota car ever remarketed by TFS on the Internet.

As vice president of sales operations at ABC, he also managed corporate IT strategies, and played a key role in launching their simulcast product as well as the design of their online technology and infrastructure.
