BEL AIR, MD - R. Charles Nichols, president of BSCAmerica, announced the addition of Chuck Comfort to Bel Air Auto Auction's management staff. He will head the auction's Salvage, Specialty and Powersports Division.

"We are very pleased to welcome Chuck Comfort to the team at Bel Air Auto Auction," said Nichols. "There's a tremendous potential for growth in the salvage, specialty and powersports segment of our business, and Chuck has both the skill and experience to help us expand those sales."

Nichols notes that Comfort's move to Bel Air Auto Auction is a return to familiar surroundings. From 2003 to 2006, he served as the auction's operations manager, and returns home after spending four years in New York as a fleet/lease manager.

"It is a great opportunity for me to work with the Nichols family again at Bel Air Auto Auction," said Comfort. "We're fortunate to have a separate facility dedicated exclusively to specialty product, which allows us to address the unique sales and service requirements for these vehicles. But we're even more fortunate to have an experienced staff with firsthand knowledge of the inventory, who share a commitment to customer service. All these elements will work together as we build the scope of the salvage, powersports and heavy-truck sales in this market."

Currently Bel Air Auto Auction holds a weekly salvage sale, a monthly Powersports/ RV/ motorcycle sale, and a monthly heavy duty truck sale.

Owned by Ray Nichols, R. Charles Nichols and Michelle Nichols, Bel Air Auto Auction manages the flow of more than 75,000 vehicles a year, handling consignments from new and used car dealers and private business fleets as well as those from public service and government agencies. Bel Air Auto Auction sells on six auction lanes every Thursday, and holds a closed sale for General Motors every other Wednesday.

The auction is strategically located just 17 miles from Baltimore and 80 miles from Philadelphia and provides a wide range of auto-related services, including floor planning, storage, transportation, Internet sales, full reconditioning, and certification.
