CHARLESTON, SC – Selig Technologies, LLC, an automotive solution software provider, announced the debut of VIN Viper, a new iPhone application now available for free download on iTunes. VIN Viper is a mobile appraising tool that enables dealers to quickly scan or manually enter a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in order to appraise and price vehicles directly from their iPhone.

“VIN Viper is making automotive appraisal fast and easy with our new application,” said Jason Seligman, president of Selig Technologies. “With a few taps of their iPhone, dealers can integrate their Carfax account for free and optionally add data values from the automotive industry’s most trusted sources - Black Book, NADA, Kelley Blue Book, and AuctionNet. We look forward to giving dealers everywhere a cost-effective solution using our native application to make the appraisal process extremely easy and efficient.”

VIN Viper is proud to announce a new partnership with Carfax as a preferred wireless partner. Automotive dealers can now access their Carfax account with the VIN Viper iPhone application at no additional cost.

“Wireless technology makes it easier for dealers to buy and sell cars with confidence,” said Larry Gamache, communications director at Carfax. “Mobile apps such as VIN Viper give dealers instant access to valuable tools, including Carfax Vehicle History Reports, which help them stock their inventory with cars customers want.”

VIN Viper allows dealers to evaluate and appraise vehicles quicker and more accurately using Carfax Vehicle History Reports, but also optionally integrates additional data sources that provide used car pricing data and auction transactions. Users may add additional data partners by signing into their account and building a plan that best fits their needs.

New users can download and register with the application for free. After registration, users can scan and decode any VIN and VIN Viper provides the year, make and model. Users can also take and store multiple photos for each vehicle using the iPhone’s camera. Additionally, to improve the appraisal process, users can make notes and assign an internal appraisal value which automatically syncs all vehicle data and photos for instant access through the online desktop suite. All registered users have access to the online desktop suite where they can access all iPhone appraisals, edit vehicle data and photos, create new appraisals, create reports and manage their accounts.

Selig Technologies has also announced the release of the VIN Viper Android application will be available in late February 2011. To learn more about VIN Viper and its product offerings, simply log onto www.VINViper.com.
