ATLANTA – Total Resource Auctions announced today that it has expanded its network of salvage auctions to nearly 100 locations by assuming operations at 22 former SADISCO facilities. The move highlights Manheim’s increased commitment to the salvage remarketing industry.

The increased physical footprint, along with innovative new processes and technologies, will provide significant benefits to Total Resource Auctions’ customers, including insurance carriers, financial institutions, non-profits, government entities, fleets and dealers.

Total Resource Auctions is expanding its footprint within the Southern coastal states from Texas to Virginia. In Florida alone, Total Resource Auctions will grow from five to 16 locations, tripling its offerings in the state. With nearly 300 acres on the Florida coast, Total Resource Auctions will have a greatly enhanced capacity for handling its customers’ catastrophe needs. This expansion will allow the company to better serve the growing needs of insurance customers throughout the region and across the United States. The SADISCO location names will change to Total Resource Auctions.

“This expansion is further evidence of Total Resource Auctions’ long-term commitment to become a national provider in the insurance industry,” said Mike Broe, executive vice president, U.S. operations, Manheim. “With the addition of these 22 locations, we will significantly expand our capacity throughout the Southeast, a key region in the salvage business.”

As part of the expansion, Total Resource Auctions adds former SADISCO operations in the following markets:

  1. Florida (11): Fort Lauderdale, Miami, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Fort Myers, Ocala, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Opa-Locka, Sanford, DeFuniak Springs

  2. Virginia (3): Richmond, Suffolk, Wytheville

  3. South Carolina (3): Columbia, Florence, North Augusta

  4. North Carolina (2): Charlotte, Raleigh

  5. Alabama (1): Mobile

  6. Georgia (1): Columbus

  7. Texas (1): Dallas

Total Resource Auctions will take advantage of best practices from its previous transactions, including Klode Salvage Distribution Center; S.A.I. S.C. Inc.; Sapulpa Auto Pool; Central Cities Auction Pool; Pro-Tech Auction; and SourceOne Solutions. Total Resource Auctions will ensure a smooth transition for SADISCO’s customers by integrating key leadership, technology and operational processes.

“While Total Resource Auctions has continued to build a solid infrastructure through the years, the addition of SADISCO locations gives us significant capacity to better meet the growing needs of insurance customers throughout the region, especially when it comes to catastrophe capacity in the gulf and on the eastern seaboard,” said Bill Tiedemann, vice president and general manager, Total Resource Auctions.

Total Resource Auctions is adding nearly 1,000 acres of capacity with the addition of these 22 locations in major metropolitan markets, bringing its total number of facilities to 96.
