FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Mercedes-Benz Financial (MBF) today announced that Horacio Trujillo is promoted to the head of remarketing, effective September 1.

In this position, Trujillo will be responsible for managing the company’s Remarketing processes, including the Customer and Asset strategies in conjunction with Mercedes-Benz USA. He will report to Janet Marzett, Vice President Collections, Customer Service and Remarketing.

Trujillo succeeds Jeff Gartland who will lead MBF’s Business Center Operations, effective September 1. He will be responsible for credit, funding and internal operations for MBF in the U.S and report to Mark Ingram, vice president MBF Sales & Field Operations.

Tom O’Connor will lead MBF Collections. In this position he will be responsible for the overall strategic direction for MBF Collections and Daimler Truck Financial Small Business Collections. He succeeds Sam Ridlon who is taking a similar position with parent company Daimler Financial in Germany. In this position, O’Connor will report to Marzett.

Trujillo has vast experience in Remarketing, including Reporting as well as Customer and Asset Strategies during the past six years. Previous to Remarketing, he was in Risk Management at the company headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI.

He joined the company in 1999 as an associate in the Executive Leadership Program where he worked for two years in areas such as Fleet Credit, Business Development, Collections, Remarketing and operations in Latin America.

Trujillo earned his Bachelor of Arts from University of Miami in Florida and his MBA from Babson College in Massachusetts.
