MT. ARLINGTON, NJ – The International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) announced new directors and officers.

Layne Weber, VP, national remarketing sales for Citi Financial, was named the new Chairman of the Board. The chairman role at IARA is an honoree title given to the past president for up to two years. The position keep’s the past president involved in the leadership of the group. According to Weber, his objective is to “support Bob Graham in his initiatives and provide guidance to the board based on my experience gained the last four years as VP and pPresident of the organization.”

Bob Graham, director vehicle remarketing for Automotive Resources International (ARI), is the new president. Graham joined ARI in 1973, starting in the new-vehicle ordering area, moved to the maintenance management department, then to used-vehicle sales, before named for his current position. He was instrumental in moving ARI’s remarketing program to a Web-based environment, which led to ARI AutoDirect, ARI Virtual Market, and other industry-leading programs.

Dave Sutton, general manager, auction sales & operations for VW Credit, is the new vice president. As VP of IARA, Sutton will participate with the IARA Executive Committee, providing direction on and recommendations to the Board of Directors on a range of issues that relate to the association’s mission and strengthening of the remarketing industry. Virgil Matzcak, ABC, continues as Treasurer, and Mike Antich, Bobit Media, continues as Secretary.

Directors reappointed to terms ending in 2012 are Bob Graham, Mike Antich, Chuck Novince, Don Roccia, and Dave Sutton.
