LAS VEGAS – Mark Mathews, director of used-vehicle activities for General Motors, has just been confirmed as the second keynote speaker at the 2009 Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR), Feb. 25-26, at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.

Mark Mathews has more than 29 years of service at General Motors Corp., holding numerous domestic and international financial, manufacturing, and sales positions within the company. He was named director, used-vehicle activities in March 2007. In his current capacity, he is responsible for all functions of GM’s wholesale used vehicle auction operations, as well as the industry-leading GM Certified Used Vehicles retail offering.

Mathews will speak on Feb. 26 during the second day of CAR on “The Future of Auto Remarketing — What it Will Look Like.” This keynote will be a close examination of where we’ve been as an industry and the path we need to follow to assure a prosperous future.
