WASHINGTON – The National Auto Auction Association has presented the 2008 Marie Hingst Exhibitor of the Year Award to Colleen Fitzgerald of Auto Auction Shopper/Used Car News. The presentation was made by last year’s award recipient, Tim West of Black Book, at the Industry Awards Luncheon held on Oct. 2 during the 60th Annual NAAA convention, Equipment & Service Exposition in Washington D.C.

“This is the third year we’ve given a special award to our Exhibitor of the Year,” said Frank Hackett, NAAA executive director. “It’s our opportunity as an association to express our appreciation for the person or business who goes above and beyond to lend support to the NAAA and to demonstrate the value they see in the association and its membership.”

The NAAA Exhibitor of the Year award was named after Marie Hingst of Automotive News, to honor her years of dedication and commitment o the NAAA. Hingst received the inaugural award in 2006 at the NAAA convention in Orlando, Fla.
