ATLANTA – Auto Auction Services Corp. (AASC) has been named in a lawsuit filed by Copart, Inc., which primarily alleges that AASC violated sections of the Sherman Antitrust Act.

According to a press release issued by AASC, they were in good faith negotiations with Copart to provide access to AutoIMS when Copart filed the antitrust lawsuit.

“We are disappointed that Copart has chosen to take this action and believe that all of the allegations with respect to AASC are entirely without merit,” the release said. “AASC has retained Alston & Bird LLP as counsel and will vigorously defend this case. We cannot comment further as it is AASC policy not to comment on the specifics of pending legal matters.”
