FRANKLIN, TN — ServNet recently commemorated anniversaries of several of its auctions with special sales this spring, incorporating everything from giveaways to a crawfish boil and a Frank Sinatra tribute.

Carolina Auto Auction

Starting things off was Carolina Auto Auction in Anderson, S.C., which honored its 18th anniversary on April 16 Sale-A-Bration.

The event, which began with a free breakfast, featured 2,220 vehicles, including consignments from BB&T, Budget, FLD, Flexco, RSA, Triad Financial, U.S. Bank, Wachovia and Wheels, officials indicated.

More than 800 people attended and 1,022 vehicles were sold.

Additionally, two kayaks, a grill, an accessorized camping tent and two jet skis were given away.

A Carolina Cash Pot drawing of $53,000 was awarded to Shane Bryant, of Brant's Used Cars.

Pittsburgh Independent Auto Auction

Commemorating 30 years with a two-day event took place on May 5-6 was Pittsburgh Independent Auto Auction.

On May 5, the celebration started with a dinner at PIAA followed by a Frank Sinatra tribute. The next day, more than 1,292 vehicles were available for purchase.

According to the auction, 774 units were sold.

Consignors included Bowser Group, Kenny Ross Group, Enterprise, ARI and Leopardi Auto Sales.

Special guests included ServNet chief executive officer Pierre Pons, ServNet president Keith Lelux, Harry Beyer, of Budget Truck; Tim West, of Black Book; Steve DeMedicis, of Auction Insurance; National Independent Automobile Dealers Association president-elect Tim Swift, officials from Pennsylvania's Independent Auto Dealers Association and Pete Lukasiak.

"‘We were very pleased with the results of our 30th anniversary sale and particularly happy to share it with members of the ServNet family," stated PIAA's Dave Angelicchio. "We are proud of our auction and know that it will be an asset to the organization."

Rea Brothers' Mid-South Auction

On May 27, Rea Brothers' Mid-South Auction in Pearl, Miss., was slated to hold its 36th anniversary sale, celebrating the occasion with its annual crawfish boil.

According to officials, more than 1,000 vehicles were to be featured at the auction, representing such consignors as Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp., Avis, Budget, Enterprise, RSA, Regions Bank, TrustMark Bank, AmSouth Bank, Wachovia, Wheels, ARI, Fleet Lease Disposal and numerous banks and credit unions in the area.

Chattanooga Auto Auction

Finally, Chattanooga Auto Auction will be celebrating its 12th anniversary on June 17 with a theme of "Sizzling 12s."

Officials indicated that more than 1,000 vehicles will be featured at the sale, with consignments from Triad Financial, Title Max, Capital Toyota, Fairway Lending Corp. Auto Credit, Herb Adcox Chevrolet, Wachovia Dealer Services, World Omni/Center One/Toyota Finance, Mitsubishi Motors Credit, Enterprise and GSA.

Since April 22, dealers at every sale have been qualifying for a chance to spin a prize wheel at the sale, where they can win $120,000.

Additionally, the auction plans to offer $25,000 in game prizes and various giveaways, including a pinball machine, slot machine, fosse ball table, X-Box 360, an air hockey table and more.
