CARMEL, IN – Thomas Schilling has been named director of transportation for ADESA. Schilling has more than 34 years of experience in the transportation and logistics sectors.

“We spent considerable time finding just the right candidate to fill this role,” said David Vignes, ADESA’s senior vice president of operations and strategic improvement. “Tom brings with him a wealth of experience and an impressive track record of results. He will be instrumental in standardizing our transportation processes, which, in turn, will allow us to provide even better service to our customers. He is a valuable addition to our management team and will be a key asset in guiding our efforts in this area.”

Schilling’s background includes extensive management positions with FedEx in both the United States and Canada. During this time, he was responsible for managing hundreds of employees as well as creating and maintaining operational methods and productivity standards. Most recently, Schilling served as the director of transportation for BAX Global Inc. in Phoenix. In this role, he was responsible for purchasing and managing more than $150 million per year in ground transportation throughout the United States and Canada.
