ATLANTA – Manheim will expand its vehicle remarketing network by selecting Canada as a focus area for business growth. With the creation of a new operating location in Montreal, Quebec, and the acquisition of Auction City Moncton in New Brunswick, Manheim can better serve the growing needs of vehicle sellers and buyers in Canada, the company said.

“Our expansion plans were heavily influenced by our customers, who expressed a need for Manheim to establish a larger presence in Canada,” said Patrick Brennan, vice president of Canadian Operations, Manheim.

Manheim will now offer its services in five locations across Canada including Oshawa, Toronto, Halifax, and its newest additions in Montreal and Moncton.

The Auction City location in Moncton and its financial portfolio will be acquired by Manheim and operate as Manheim Moncton effective immediately. It will offer customers Manheim’s full breadth of services, now available at other locations.

In Montreal, Manheim is currently building a state-of-the-art facility comprising more than 70,000 square feet. During construction, Manheim will offer customers its financial services through MAFS, as well as a selected number of other Manheim services. When fully functional during the first half of 2008, the facility will provide a variety of remarketing services ranging from reconditioning to marshalling to title processing and more.

To support the company’s Canadian expansion, Manheim recently established a corporate office in Mississauga, Ontario. The office will serve as a hub for all Canadian operating locations and provide support services including human resources, finance, marketing, sales, and e-business.

In addition to opening two auction locations and a corporate office, Manheim is actively seeking ways to participate in the Canadian markets it serves.
