ATLANTA – Manheim has introduced its new “InSight ECR” electronic condition report through a program aimed at dealer consignors at the Lauderdale-Miami Auto Auction.

Over the next three months, Lauderdale-Miami will provide InSight ECR reports on dealer consignment vehicles at each of its weekly Friday sales. The service is available to any dealer who wishes to take advantage of it.

“Given the increasing number of vehicles available for sale online through services such as Manheim Simulcast and www.OVE.com, the need for consistent and thorough electronic condition reports has become an increasingly important priority for remarketers,” said Pam Mabry-Cadigan, vice president, inspection operations, Manheim.

“Our goal is to provide consistent and accurate inspection products that deliver positive results for both buyers and sellers,” Mabry-Cadigan aid. “Manheim Insight ECR sets a new standard in condition reports. Buyers can rely on Insight ECR to evaluate a vehicle’s condition and make informed buying decisions, while sellers can be confident that their vehicles are properly described online.”

Features of the InSight ECR include:

  • Digital images of the vehicle.

  • Exterior and interior damage, severity, and action recommendations.

  • Tire/wheel information and tread depth.

  • Structure/frame visual check.

  • Windshield/glass condition.

  • Vehicle grade.

  • OEM, aftermarket, and value-added equipment.

  • Odometer reading.

Manheim Simulcast and OVE.com buyers should look for the InSight ECR logo posted next to vehicle description to determine if the vehicle has received the Insight ECR electronic condition report.

As part of the program, Lauderdale-Miami’s location’s marketing staff is contacting targeted Simulcast buyers nationwide, and the facility’s inspection team has received extensive training on the InSight ECR system, which ensures consistency through a series of prompts and input validation messages.
